February Montessori Sensory Kit - Friends Forever
As we enter the month of love, our focus falls to friendship. Friendship is one of the greatest gifts we can give and receive. Model kindness and friendship with our hand-painted peg people. Pour, scoop and transfer our red and pink rice and pasta hearts into ceramic heart bowls utilizing the hearts spoons. This sensory and fine motor activity will strengthen hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills and work to improve concentration. Read the book, I Spy Little Hearts and point out all the different hearts on the page. Work on color sorting with felt envelops and our color cards in English and Spanish and last but not least, match the lowercase and uppercase letter heart puzzles to build phonemic awareness. We hope this month is full of kindness, love and friendship ♥️.

2 bags of red and pink rice with pasta hearts interspersed throughout (rice is dyed with non-toxic liquid watercolors)
1 ceramic pink heart bowl
1 ceramic red heart bowl
2 heart shaped spoons
